The village of Frenaros has its own small Byzantine churches.  Two of them, the Ayios Andronikos and the Archangelos Michail date back to the 12th century.  The church of Ayia Marina has some interesting frescoes painted by different artists.  A traditional Cypriot village with its inherent charm and hospitality, centrally located just 3 minutes from Famagusta, 5 minutes from Ayia Thekla and Ayia Napa with Protaras just 8 minutes away.
